Art Masterpiece Director Position-Opening

Role and Responsibilities

Oversees the Art Masterpiece Program for all 8 schools in the Madison School District.

· Train and supervise Art Guides (volunteers), ensuring classroom presentations and art activities are aligned with program goals

· Determine yearly goals, budget, and artwork rotation schedule

· Act as Site Coordinator for schools without one

· Assist MEF Director with the annual Madison Bash planning and execution

· Facilitate the annual Art Card Contest and other fund raising initiatives

· Enhance marketing and community relations (volunteer recognition, program events and visibility, etc.)

· Report to stakeholders regularly, conduct meetings, provide timely and accurate info on the program’s status

· Collaborate with school administrators, staff and District personnel to ensure the program is successful in the classroom

· Create and present lesson plans for K-8 classrooms

· Manage the MSD Art Masterpiece Google Drive

· Review and edit art research packets to ensure they are effective resources for volunteers

Required Qualifications

· Previous success as an Art Guide

· Clear and proactive communication skills

· Professional and collaborative attitude

· Organized, with strong attention to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

· Ability to climb stairs and lift heavy objects

Preferred Qualities

· A Passion for art and the success of the program

· Program evaluation skills

· Knowledge of the Madison School District and how it operates

· Social media posting

· Event Planning

· Volunteer recruitment and management

· Google Drive Proficiency
